I must say that the title was the only unique thing that attracts my attention, but I found out that the story plot was one of the most touching I have encountered to date.
The story is narrated through the feelings of a teenage girl named Anna, who was the only child in the family until the birth of her baby brother.
The thing is - her brother is bron with a ‘big head’, as is the way she protraited in the book.It meant that her brother was born abnormal. As it is physically and mentally handicapped.
Then the story unfolds into the struggles of Anna, coping with the stresses of her own teenage years and to care for her baby brother, which she initially hated because she is afraid of others knwing she had an abnormal brother.
However, over time, Anna slowly found out that the love for a family member is unconditional as she develops the lovefor her baby brother.
In the end, her baby brother died, but not before the story has already tells what we ought to absorb from the novel.
I feel that it’s a great novel, and many issues depicted real situations that we ourselves or our friends may be going through.
My favourite character in the book is Anna as she is a person that does not give up hope on her loved ones and is very willing to strive hard for it.
I enjoyed the whole book as it is very intresting and shows Anna's resilience towards her struggles . I would recommend this book to my peers to read as it also teaches some values we can use in life when we have difficulties or struggles.
This book also reminds me of my relatives from indonesia, born with an abnormality but his family is trying hard to give him the best to live even with all the hate on them.
'Red sky in the morning' is a book suitable for people who like to read topics on romance and relationships.
